The business side of art is regarded by the Academy as a crucial facet of an artist’s future success. Topics covered include: exhibiting, financing, pricing and costing, as well as galleries, market research and promotion. Students are taught the realities of professional painting.

To further this, the student shows creates a situation in which the student can learn how work is submitted to a jury or a gallery, how deadlines are met for framing and transportation, how sales are made and how the work is promoted.
